Meet Illy

Illiona "Illy" Okereke is a licensed professional counselor and certified school counselor. Her clinical training and interests include trauma, anxiety, women's wellness, and marriage and family therapy. She is a descendant of Haitian immigrants and speaks Haitian Creole fluently. She is a woman of faith, serving in various capacities within ministry.

Illy is fueled by personal experiences, including witnessing domestic violence, being emotionally abused, and raised in a religious household with dogmatic views. She integrates the lessons from these experiences with her faith, mental health training, and love for culture in everything she does.

 

Illy is passionate about helping those who have had traumatic or adverse childhood experiences restore their inner child and live their best life now. She champions healthy marriages so that children and adolescents have a safe environment to grow and learn.
